1. Overview
We want you to love your Karmi pieces. This policy explains your options if something isn't right, and how to arrange a return, refund or exchange. This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
2. Your Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law
Our Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the Products repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this policy limits or replaces your rights under the ACL.
3. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive a Product that is faulty, damaged, of unacceptable quality, or not what you ordered:
● Please contact us within 15 days of receiving the Product.
● Email us at info@karmi.com.au with your order number and, where relevant, clear photographs showing the issue.
● Once assessed and approved, we will provide a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the ACL.
● For approved faulty-item returns, we will cover the cost of return shipping.
4. Change of Mind
We understand that sometimes an item isn't quite right. In addition to your ACL rights, we offer change-of-mind returns subject to the following conditions:
● You must notify us of your intention to return within 72 hours of receiving (signing for) the Product, by emailing info@karmi.com.au.
● The Product must be unworn, unwashed and in its original condition, with all original tags attached.
● The Product must not be a sale, clearance or final-sale item — these are excluded from change-of-mind returns.
● Proof of purchase must be provided.
Change-of-mind return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a tracked service, as we are not responsible for items lost in return transit.
5. Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an item (for example, for a different size), please contact us at info@karmi.com.au. Exchanges are subject to availability. As many of our pieces are limited or one-of-a-kind, we may not be able to offer a direct exchange — in that case, we will discuss a suitable alternative or refund with you.
6. How to Start a Return
1. Email us at info@karmi.com.au within the applicable timeframe (15 days for faulty items; 72 hours for change of mind), quoting your order number.
2. Wait for confirmation — we will provide return instructions and the return address. Please do not send items back before receiving confirmation.
3. Pack the item securely in its original condition with tags attached, and include your order details.
4. Ship the item using the method advised (a tracked service is recommended).
7. Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your returned Product and confirm it is approved:
● We will issue your refund to the original payment method within 7 business days.
● Please note that your bank or payment provider (including Afterpay, Zip or PayPal) may require additional time to process the funds into your account.
● Original shipping charges are non-refundable, except where the item is faulty or the return is otherwise required under the ACL.
8. Items That Cannot Be Returned for Change of Mind
For hygiene and other reasons, the following are excluded from change-of-mind returns (your ACL rights for faulty items still apply):
● Sale, clearance and final-sale items
● Gift cards
